August erscheint, ausgequetscht.

BLICK.de. We're happy to welcome you back here in Germany.

Sebastian: "It is always so sweet here. We love Germany."

BLICK.de: How would you describe your music torwards people, who never heard of you?

Sebastian: "Beautiful Chaos."

Everything was always do or die

BLICK.de: Your new album "Death of Glory" will come out August 30th. Tell us everything you can reveal by now about it.

Emerson: "Our whole life had been death or glory. Everything that we've been doing was always like do or die. Ever since we were touring in our mum's car, from with little metal bands playing for no one. We are really resilient and relentless. I think it is a good sentiment for life in general. You don't stop until you get exactly what you want. We have the power to manifest anything you want in this life. We are very fortunate that we have our fans alongside to build this idea and this concept. We faced a lot of tragedy recently and sad times. You have to keep find happiness in life and create a legacy."

We are really resilient and relentless.

BLICK.de: You shot a music video in Italy the other day.

Sebsatian: "Yeah. For Ache Of My Heart. It comes out  on friday."

BLICK.de: Tell me something about your writing process. Do you write all the time or in writing sessions?

Sebastian: "It depends on in whatever era we are in. Sometimes we write a lot when we're in soundcheck and rehearsal rooms. And then there is a time in the studio. We were in the studio for Death or Glory for three weeks for half the album. Then came back later for two weeks and finfished it. Sometimes we write and produce at the same time. It just depends on where we are in our lives. Getting us in the same room is more difficult these days. Sometimes melodies come out of nowhere."

Emerson: "I think it's just a matter of keep on doing it. If you are applying yourself everyday as much as you can. Eventually it [the song] comes out, it's like training. We all have ideas. Sometimes they work sometimes they don't. We're doing this our whole lives."

BLICK.de: In your song "Showbiz" you critisize the music industry, in which moment you saw though it all?

Sebastian: "About the music industry? 2016 or 2017. A year after we signed a record deal, we were on the road... managers and agents, I mean you meet a lot of good ones and a lot of terrible ones, and you learn from those situations that everyone works for themselve."

Emerson: "Never let anyone signing checks."

Sebastian: "We are writing more about our experiences. Bastards is like our first experiences on the road. Fever Dream is during the pandemic and now we are writing about our situations in life."

Remington joins the interview

BLICK.de: Now we have some funny questions: If I had a super power it would be…

Emerson: "Teleportation, because being on the bus for like 20 hours is ewww"

Sebastian: "Flying."

Remington: "I would love to read peoples thoughts."

BLICK.de: Who is the most messy one, especially when it comes to tour life?

Sebastian: "Emerson!"

Emerson: "Yeah. My art and my dressing is clean, but my living is messy and chaotic. But I like it that way."

BLICK.de: If I was a Disney charakter i would be…

Emerson: "Maleficient"

Remington: "Ohhh that was a good one. For me probably Peter Pan."

Sebastian: "Sebastian the crab."

BLICK.de: I cannot live without this item on tour…

Remington: "Hairspray."

Emerson: "My briefcases for my drawings."

The boys look to Sebastian: "Outside instruments!"

Sebastian: "My suits."

BLICK.de: My spirit animal is…

Sebstian points to his dog in the room: "Mischka"

Remington: "Lady Gaga."

BLICK.de: Who is the best cook of the band?

Sebastian: "Me, I love to cook. I love everything, especially good pasta."

Emerson: "And we're just eating."

BLICK.de: If you could invite three bands to play with you at your own festival, who would it be?

Sebastian: "Rolling Stones, Oasis, Jungle… or Harry Styles."

Remington: "Radiohead, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Nirvana."

Emerson: "The Doors, Radiohead and … [couln't understand the third, he whispered]

BLICK.de: We're done, if you wont tell more about the album.

Remington: "It's hard to explain your work. You just have to listen for yourself. I has been the most fun we ever had making a record and the most fun record that we can tour. We kind of get back to our roots. This is the first record we made with the people we go on stage with, so Dave and Logan. So it's the first time having our band with us in the room making the album, from the start to the finish. Now we can't wait for you guys to see what happens next. The entire fucking album is indescribable. Don‘t skip tracks! There is a death side and a glory side of it."

Sebastian: "Death or Glory is fantastic opening track."

Remington: "I was at the gym today down the street and listend to the whole album."

Sebastian: " We hope you love it and if now, we make another album."

BLICK.de: We're looking forward to it. Thank you for your time and enjoy the show.
